BUSINESS DEVLOPMENT
Research & Business devlopment
From economic modeling to trend analysis, the Business Development and Research Division performs a variety of information services to multiple clients. The division also coordinates Nevada’s business incentive programs.
In fiscal year 2007, NCED approved incentives for 41 businesses. Collectively, the companies invested $572.1 million in Nevada. 1,486 new primary jobs were created paying an average wage of $19.86. These companies will infuse more than $61.4 million in new wages into the economy annually for at least the next 5 years.
The division also monitors the latest trends, best practices, case studies and ongoing debates on economic development issues affecting communities across the United States and abroad. Key staff members have positions on public policy boards for the International Economic Development Council and the Council for Community and Economic Research. We work with sophisticated economic modeling tools to ensure the impacts we report meet or exceed industry standards.
Nevada’s incentive program is one-of-a-kind and one of the best reasons to do business in Nevada. Business owners and their employees keep more of what they earn than those in other states. Why? It’s in the constitution.
- No Income Taxes
- No Inventory Taxes
- Competitive Sales and Property Tax Rates
- Minimal Employer Payroll Tax
- Incentives That Never Expire
These incentives help cultivate healthier bottom lines and support the entrepreneurial spirit upon which Nevada is built. A partnership with NCED is the first step towards your success.
